Legacy14 was founded to preserve and elevate the proud tradition of Coastal Carolina Baseball, a program built on excellence, unity, and passion. Named in honor of legendary Hall of Fame coach Gary Gilmore, who wore number 14 and led the Chanticleers for 29 remarkable seasons, Legacy14 is a tribute to the standard he set both on and off the field.

At Coastal Carolina, baseball is more than just a game it’s a family. A community. A loyal fan base that spans generations. As the college sports landscape continues to evolve, especially in the era of NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness), Legacy14 is shifting its focus from individual support to strengthening the program as a whole.

INDIVIDUALS

  • By utilizing the funds generated from our membership program, we compensate select athletes to endorse and promote Legacy 14 as well as other sponsors.

  • 90% of each dollar is allocated directly towards supporting student athletes in their Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) opportunities and related services. With only a 10% overhead expense, our collective maintains one of the lowest rates among university collectives. It is important to note that our team operates on a strictly volunteer basis and does not receive any financial compensation for their contributions to the collective.

  • We have implemented strategic methods to comprehensively understand and fulfill the Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) requirements of our student-athletes. Each contract we enter into is tailored to the individual needs of the respective student-athlete. We have assembled a team with extensive industry expertise, enabling us to effectively manage funds, optimize spending efficiency, and remain competitive on a national level.

It is crucial to ensure that these opportunities do not involve compensation in exchange for athletic performance or any improper incentives that may influence the decision to enroll in a specific school.
