The First-Team All-Sun Belt Conference selection started 67 games for the Chanticleers — 66 behind the dish, one at DH — guiding a pitching staff that ranked No. 2 nationally in both ERA and WHIP. Offensively, he hit .318 with a team-best .454 on-base percentage, drawing 47 walks and being hit by 17 pitches. He added 24 extra-base hits, drove in 42 runs and slugged .461, serving as a consistent presence atop the lineup.

2025 All Region ABCA/Rawlings 1st, College Baseball All American, All-Sun Belt Team 1stHe leads the nation with 10 starts of at least six innings while allowing one or fewer runs. The only player with a season of more such outings in the last five years is LSU's Paul Skenes in 2023. In his first Omaha start against Oregon State, Morrison retired 16 straight Oregon State batters after allowing a homer to lead off the 3rd inning, the third-longest streak in the MCWS since the 2011 move to Charles Schwab Field Omaha.
Riley Eikhoff (9th Round, 256th overall, Chicago White Sox) RHP #26
Eikhoff was part of a three-headed monster of a starting rotation that saw Coastal post the second-best team ERA and WHIP in the nation this season. He saved his best campaign for last, finishing 7-2 with 3.10 ERA, striking out 71 in 90.0 innings pitched. He scattered 11 walks on the season, finishing No. 4 in the NCAA with 1.1 walks allowed per nine innings.
Matthew Potok (18th Round, 551st overall, Philadelphia Phillies) RHP #29
The right-hander appeared in 21 games, posting a 4–1 record, one save and a 2.52 ERA across 35.2 innings. He struck out 33 batters while allowing just eight walks and limiting opponents to a .254 batting average. Potok delivered several high-leverage performances in the second half of the season, including 3.0 scoreless innings with four strikeouts against Arkansas State, a 4.0-inning relief win over App State, and three scoreless outings combined in the Sun Belt Championship, NCAA Super Regional and Men's College World Series. In three NCAA Tournament appearances, Potok logged 5.0 innings with two strikeouts and a 2–0 record.

Record: The Chanticleers finished the 2024 season with a 36-25 overall record and a 16-14 record in the Sun Belt Conference.
Postseason: They participated in the Clemson Regional of the NCAA Tournament. Losing in final elimination game vs. Clemson.
Gary Gilmore retired after 29 seasons, and Kevin Schnall, who had been the assistant coach, was named the new head coach. Gilmore was head coach from 1996-2024

Coastal Carolina Records: Single-Season RBI 83 RunsOver three years, Bender hit .326 in 144 games played with 130 starts. Defensively, the junior from Myrtle Beach, S.C., totaled 370 putouts with 30 assists without committing any errors. As a sophomore in 2023, Bender set the Coastal Carolina single-season RBI record with 83 runs batted in while hitting .341 with 86 hits, 13 doubles, two triples, and 19 homers. Bender was named to the All-Sun Belt Conference first team while hitting in the cleanup spot in the top offense in the Sun Belt.

2025 Status: Active - Fredericksburg Nationals - Single-A AffiliateA transfer from WVU Potomac State College, the right-handed pitcher finished 4-4 on the year with 21 appearances and nine starts. With a 7.52 ERA, Meckley tallied one save on the season while pitching a complete game in a seven-inning 12-2 win over Ball State. In 52.2 innings pitched, the Gettysburg, Pa., native totaled 57 strikeouts with 27 walks and allowed 46 runs on 54 hits.

2022 All-Sun Belt First TeamA 2022 Collegiate Baseball second-team All-American and the first Chanticleer to be named the Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Year, VanScoter was also named to the All-Sun Belt first team and earned a spot on the ABCA/Rawlings Atlantic All-Region first team last season. VanScoter went 9-4 with a 3.65 ERA on the season, firing 88.2 innings of work over 16 starts. He led the Sun Belt and ranked in the top-25 nationally in wins and was sixth in the Sun Belt in ERA on the season. He was fourth in the Sun Belt in innings pitched, seventh in strikeouts with 85, and tied for second in the league with 25 strikeouts looking.
